Physical Therapy
Physical therapy (or physiotherapy) is a dynamic profession which uses a range of treatment techniques to restore movement and function within the body.
Conditions Treated
Physical therapists (also known as physiotherapists) treat common ailments such as back pain, muscle sprains and sports injuries. However, at the CSRM we are helping patients to overcome a much wider range of conditions such as:
- incontinence
- osteoporosis
- depression
- asthma
- irritable bowel syndrome
Examination and Treatment Planning
Our physiotherapists are skilled in assessing an individual's physical limitations. Upon examination, a treatment plan is developed to return the patient to an optimal level of function.
Treatments are designed to promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well-being, taking account of variations in health status.
Physical therapists at The Centre are registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario which acts to protect the public interest by regulating and continually improving the practice of physiotherapists.
